TOTAL OPERATION REVIEW

We review the utilization of every electric powered vehicle in your
facility. Our utilization inspection covers the number of batteries
per shift, output and function per charger, battery-to-truck match,
and charger-to-battery match.
This total operation review and equipment utilization inspection
allows our Service Representatives to determine the most efficient use
of all equipment to ensure long battery service life, workers change
batteries less often, and allows you to maximize vehicle productivity
without sacrificing safety.

BATTERY CONDITION INSPECTIONS

Our Service Representatives measure and record cell voltages, specific
gravity, electrolyte level, and inspect vent plugs, cables and connectors
on each battery. They inspect the battery watering system. Each
inspection can catch a potential problem before it becomes a major
repair expense. Again, all inspections are designed to keep battery
repair costs to a minimum and maximize battery life and operation
productivity. |
CHARGER EFFICIENCY TESTS

On each charger, our Service Representative measures and records
cable voltage drops, output currents, equalize modes, and inspect all
cables and connectors. These inspections assure you that each
charger is working at maximum efficiency. Proper charger operation
saves electricity, cuts recharging time, increases battery efficiency,
decreases battery watering and extends battery life. |

Convenience of a full service battery company |

Parts to repair battery and charger problems are stocked locally at our service centers. Most repairs are made from our parts stock carried in our service vans. Both van stock and local stock provide our customers with convenience and quick product supportregardless of product manufacturer. Our local stock is further backed by our National
Parts Center.
EnerSys takes an extra step by performing quality control audits on all incoming and outgoing parts. Each quality check ensures that our customers receive the correct, functional part upon arrival and also the highest-quality and an accurate count.
EnerSys exclusive PRO Series™ battery and charger accessories can improve labor and battery efficiency in addition to meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations for battery charging rooms. In other words, we save your company from the potential problems of liability and expense. Unlike many service companies, EnerSys provides turnkey services for battery handling rooms. We will help you design or lay out your battery handling room, provide CAD engineering drawings, and order and install the equipment.

This large inventory provides our customers with reduced equipment cost and quick support during increased production or during extensive equipment repairs. If you're not receiving five to seven years of life from your batteries, then you're losing profit. Batteries are the most ignored part of any electric forklift and the most misunderstood. Battery acid, hydrogen gas and corrosion are all dangerous when not properly understood. High battery temperature and over/undercharging decrease battery life and forklift productivity and increase battery/forklift repairs.
Yet most problems are easily prevented with simple battery maintenance and safety precautions. Furthermore, battery maintenance can add years of battery life. Long battery life means lower equipment costs and higher profits.
Our trained Service Representatives can provide maintenance and safety training at your site or, if you prefer, at our service center. Our training classes cost a fraction of worker's compensation claims or the cost of buying batteries every three years.

Our service locations are knowledgeable on the ever-changing environmental regulations concerning battery recycling, hazardous material transportation and spill response. As you know, failure to follow environmental regulations can be expensive, and may cost you tens of thousands of dollars in fines.
We're concerned about the environment. That's why we've developed the industry's first environmentally safe battery washing service to clean lift truck batteries.
Federal, state and local authorities are increasing the monitoring of industrial discharges of hazardous substances, and lead is a leading concern.
Our battery washing system is designed to ensure full compliance with EPA and DOT requirements and nothing goes down the drain or in the ground. All wash water is filtered, neutralized and recycled. Reusing the water minimizes our use of natural resources and helps to keep our soil and water supplies clean.

We completely examine the condition and safety of your battery handling equipment. Poor lifting techniques, which lead to back injuries, are a major cause of Workers' Compensation claims. A poorly equipped battery room may cause workers to push or pull heavy batteries. If equipment is misused, hand and foot injuries may result.
